Charles de Gaulle Airport, April 2011. Jacques and Safi have just been urgently repatriated from Abidjan. Jacques has a thick skin, tanned by the African sun and his life as an expatriate hotelier. Safi, his mixed-race, 14-year-old daughter, has grown used to living with her mother and doesn't know what to think of this bigmouth, sketchy father who suddenly took her with him.
