Midnight's Children

Midnight Children is the story of Saleem and his adopted twin sister Shiva. They were both born at midnight on 15 August 1947, the exact moment India gained its independence from Britain. Like other children born around Independence Midnight, Saleem and Shiva appear to have special powers, and are able to communicate telepathically with each other.
