Private Karel Maes, famous cyclist, gets into trouble with his superiors: they do not want him to practice his sport. His sports director sends him a telegram: he is urgently expected at the racecourse. His friend advises him to turn to the three rascals of the regiment. These are currently in prison under the strict surveillance of Sergeant Thunder.
